Venice in the future

as we see it
Did you know that Venetian children enjoyed jumping into canals for fun?
In Venetian it’s called «Cao rio» and means diving head-first

In the future, we see Venice as a place where the canals have become playgrounds, as they are safe and clean, and children enjoy jumping into the water.
Venice is a sustainable city. There are no motor waves: motorboats aren't used anymore, people move on electric boats or traditional boats and kayaks instead.
Venice is a beautiful example of how people respect nature and take responsibility for their actions. There's no pollution, as we clean and recycle plastic.
Venice is an art laboratory where artisans thrive, and people value handmade things crafted with care.
Venice is a rewarding destination for explorers that are eager to learn and contribute, as we travel to gain knowledge and experience and bring them home.

«A Venetian resident and a member of the Reale Società Canottieri Querini rowing club, I see the tradition of water sports as the key to a sustainable future. Water sports bring us closer to nature, teach us responsibility towards it, and how to respect it. My goal is to create engaging sports and cultural activities that would allow people to come into the contact with the city and its environment.»

Founder, environmental guide, kayaking and Venetian rowing instructor
Caoduro,
«Venice has become my new home, and I'm grateful to be here. I do my best to make this place welcoming and safe, where both Venetians and guests can feel bemused, engaged and curious as kids. Practicing water sports here gives us a different perspective on the world's most beautiful city, and I believe this experience drives great changes inside everyone of us.»
